Flood (5). 2006. Oil on canvas. 54 x 60 inches
The exhibition, which  focuses on the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, showcases a selection of paintings based on widely distributed news images of a devasted New Orleans. Unreal-seeming images of environmental and social catastrophes are re-cast as paintings where geological, political and social "weather" are inextricably intertwined.

An artist's multiple with essays by art critic Lucy R. Lippard and New York Times science reporter Andrew C. Revkin is available upon request.
